I took a look. The research is impressive but sometimes you just guessed wrong. For example, the reference in Internet for Dummies about backhoe attacks didn't come from Krol's book. It was and is a cliche in the telecom world (memes hadn't been invented yet) and we both used it independently. I also don't see that we made any reference to the 1 Jan 83 flag day. Our audience wouldn't have cared. Some other book, maybe? R's, John (authors note: the flag day reference was an off-handed joke and was removed)
